A Comfy Bed, A Hearty Breakfast.... and Oh So Much More!
Do you like historic homes? Do you like amazing stories? Do you like hearty Southern breakfasts? Do you like music? Do you like a peaceful night's sleep in a comfy bed? If you can answer "yes" to any of these, then the Inn Upon Moon River is the B&B for you! Our stay was unplanned; we were returning home from a vacation that was cancelled due to a hurricane, and too weary to keep driving, just needed a place to spend the night. So thankful Heaven directed us here! The Inn is a veritable museum, and one would have to spend several days to appreciate its content. We stayed in the Memphis Room which was spacious and comfortable, and, of course, expected breakfast the next morning...but there was soooo much more! Expect to be well fed, not only physically, but also mentally. musically, and spiritually as well. Dave's blueberry pancakes were a dream, and the bacon was world class! Elizabeth and Dave have such a fascinating history, and we could have sat around their beautifully appointed dining room table all day listening to Elizabeth's stories of their lives and how they were led to buy this B&B. How often do you just have to hug your hosts when you depart? Thank you, Elizabeth and Dave, for blessing us with your gracious hospitality and for keeping faithful and true to the reason you bought this house!

Cultural Mecca in Small Town SC
This is a one-of-a-kind place. The hosts have gone to great lengths to create a cozy and unique space. The decor is like a shrine to blues music (the owners once owned a storied blues club in Florida), and the hosts were so friendly. The B&B is off the beaten path in Chester but feels like it should be on some kind of "best of" list for cultural experiences in SC. Tip: the back rooms are quietest as they are off the main street. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the blueberry pancakes were delicious. Staying here was the highlight of my trip.
